Welcome to the Planning site, your gateway to Penn's web-based Planning systems and related information and services. Access to these systems is limited to authorized University staff and faculty.
Systems Availability
Planning (meaning all the
PennPlan applications and Reports) will generally be
available from 7:00 am to Midnight each
day.
PennHist, the database used for
most reports, will be refreshed with your
latest forecasts and budgets from PennPlan:
Daily
at 8:00 am, 12 noon,
4:00 pm, 8:00 pm
You may get a message that you can’t save
in PennPlan if you try to save your work during an
export. Wait a few minutes and then you should be
able to save.
Each PennPlan application will be aggregated
(meaning it will add up org parent and fund group totals) as detailed below. You
can save work in PennPlan while it is aggregating. Your updated totals will
appear once the aggregation is finished. You can’t run salary reports while it
is aggregating.
PennPln1: 11:00 am, 2:50 pm, 6:50 pm
PennPln2: 9:50 am, 12:50 pm, 4:50 pm
PennPln3: 10:30 am, 1:50 pm, 5:50 pm
The system will not normally be available for users between Midnight and 7 am,
when maintenance is scheduled.

Workspace: University applications (PennPl1, PennPln2, and PennPln3) and Reports, became available June 29, 2009.
UPHSPlan: Health System applications to create forecasts and budgets. Requires HUPNet connection.
UPHS Reports: Heath System reports on budgets, actuals and other related information in predefined formats. Requires HUPNet connection.
